Mongoven Building Co. is a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor based in Carrboro. Since 2003 we have been building in Orange, Chatham, Durham, and Alamance counties.

Luke Mongoven

Luke moved to Carrboro in 1997 where he met his wife Claire, a Chapel Hill native. They married in 2001 and live on Main Street raising their four kids now ages 9, 14, 16 and 17. He is an Eagle Scout and US army airborne veteran. Luke grew up learning the trade from his father, himself the grandson of an old world builder who immigrated from Poland in the 1920’s.

Several years of carpentry work lead him to pursue his North Carolina general contracting license. He and Claire started Mongoven building company in 2003.

Mat Warner

Mat was born in England and has more than 20 years of construction experience. He has worked in multiple trades throughout the UK and Ireland, with an emphasis on fine carpentry. He met his wife while living in Spain, and they moved back to her native North Carolina in 2008.

Mat joined Mongoven Building Company that same year and has enjoyed working on a broad range of projects ever since. He and his wife currently reside in Chapel Hill and stay busy chasing their two children around, ages two and three.
